*Time to volunteer 

  • You will work for 3 to 5hrs, from 8.30am or 9am to 12:30 -1pm.
  • You will have a coordinator or a staff from your placement to escort you to your placement for the first one to three days until when you are familiar with your way.
  • You are free to change your placement any time if you feel the need or if you would like a different experience.

   *-Arusha is the best tourist zone in Eastern and central Africa. You will have the opportunity to enjoy     the tourist attractions like The Serengeti, Ngorongoro, Tarangire, Manyara Arusha National Park, Mount Meru and the beautiful Mount Kilimanjaro.     We ask you to come arrange with us when you are here. 

*THE WEATHER AND THE GEAR TO PACK:

Arusha is one of the coldest regions in Tanzania. 

 ●Our cold season starts from Late April to late September, the temperatures range from 10c to 25c.

●The rainy season is usually from March to May or June. 

●Our dry and hot season is from October to late February.

●Sometimes September to January may experience showers.

●If you expect to go on safari, always bring at least one very warm jacket, especially Ngorongoro crater can get below 10c.

 *ADDITIONAL PAYMENTS 

  • Additional days at destination - $25 per day
  • Independent volunteers under the age of 18 will need to pay additional fee of $70 per week apart from registration and program fee, to cover their transportation to and fro placement and airport drop off.
  • We advise volunteers over the age of 75 to also pay $70 fee per week for transportation to and fro their placements (it is optional).  
  • You are also allowed to pay for your transport to and fro placement when you are already at destination and we can arrange for your transport. 
  • Volunteers are advised to carry $75-100 per week for your daily use including transport, laundry and other expenses.
  • Volunteers with animal welfare have to pay additional $100 to be donated to the centre. 
  • Medical volunteers have to pay additional $50 per week for their entrance fee at placement.
  • Women empowerment volunteers have to pay additional $50 for support at the centre.
  • Environmental education and conservation need to pay $50 for transport and other expenses.
